Reason Purchased: Come on. It's Robotech. 'Nuff said.

Opinions: After years of my saying that Robotech should be exploring their options of more CDs (a Sentinels soundtrack, image album by Michael Bradley as Yellow Dancer, drama CDs, etc. etc.) I was thrilled that there even WAS a Robotech Game Soundtrack. (Never mind at being thrilled that there was actually a Robotech game after all these years.) And this CD was just what I always wanted. I was a little concerned that the new game would either re-use the same music as the TV series (and I'd get this CD, play it and go "Oh. I already had all this music. Oh well,") or that it would go in the opposite direction and be all new music that was unrecognizable for Robotech and could have been for anything (such as the bulk of Macross M3, for example). But this CD hit it just right. It's a wonderful blend of all new music, much of which incorporates the original Robotech themes. Each set of songs runs in three parts: A first track which is an all-original piece that sets the tone, followed by a second track that covers the original Robotech music in that tone, and the third track which is somewhat of a blending of the two. I'm really looking forward to experiencing all of it in the proper context of the game itself. This CD is exactly what Robotech needed.

BTR Singles added to playlist: "Force of Arms," "Destroids in Danger," "Rebel Revenge," "Trial by Fire," "Warpath," and "Welcome to Zen City." Not quite sure about "Robotech Main Theme: Battlecry Remix" yet. I'll probably add more after I listen to it more (and play the game) as well.

...AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
There is no such thing as good or bad music, only music you do or don't like.
