Animal World

Release Date: 1978
Assortment / Tape No.: 82204/4
Accessories: Button relabel card
Programs: 2
Running Time: 21:07 (x2)
Music: "Quizzing for Coconuts" (15 sec. edit?)
"In the Hall of the Space King" (30 sec. edit)

Other Comments: Being a late-'78 two-program tape, it uses the "half-button" method, where you only use buttons A & B for program 1 and buttons C & D for program 2. And 2-XL jams a bunch of questions in, with nearly 25 questions per program, so there's not a lot of fooling around doing non-question things on this one.

Other memorable things about this program: 2-XL lets you hear what his insides sounds like, and apparently the Pig Choir preceded both the Mouse Organ and the Muppaphones.

Lastly, regarding the (presumed) KPM Library Music on this tape: this is the third out of 5 tapes from the "82204" batch to use the "Space King" music. Apparently Dr. Freeman really liked that music when he was doing this assortment! (Not that I blame him, it's one of my favorites as well. 2-XL even apologizes for having to interrupt it on this one!)

* A NOTE ABOUT PRINTING CARDS OR BOOKLETS: I'm attempting to make these files in the original sizes. Unfortunately computers are odd beasts, and something that looks the correct size doesn't always print at the correct size (or even show up as the same size on different computers). If it doesn't print at the correct size for you, your best bet is to save the file and open it through an image program such as Adobe Photoshop and resize it there.

A NOTE ABOUT MUSIC: All music titles have been arbitrarily chosen by Frank and myself. These titles were picked based on many different things: the program we first heard the song on, or the project we first used it in, or whatever imagery it made us think of the most. 15 second wav samples (approximately 325k each) have been included for your convenience to be used as a reference. The running times listed in the description above are NOT the sample length. They are the length of the song as it is used on the 2-XL tape pictured.
